Dodge is governed by an elected mayor and city council, with a park board over the city park and a city auditor who runs the office day to day.
How Dodge is governed
Dodge is a North Dakota city with elected officials who serve set terms and are chosen by the city's own voters. The elected offices are:

- City Council Member Four-year term
- Park Board Member Four-year term
Candidates file an election packet through the City Auditor's Office, and the city election is held in conjunction with the Dunn County election in June.

The City Auditor's Office
The City Auditor's Office is the front door to city government in Dodge — utility billing, election packets, ordinances, meeting notices, auditorium bookings and the day-to-day business of the city. Office hours are posted at City Hall and on the city's Facebook page; closures are announced there as well.
