Shade, a shelter, a playground and the open ground where the whole town shows up.
Dodge's park has a covered picnic shelter with tables, a playground, shade trees and open grass. It is where the city holds its movie nights, its community potlucks and the picnics that follow a big project.
The park is overseen by an elected park board. Flower beds along the park are planted and kept by volunteers.

The city sets up an inflatable screen on the grass on summer evenings. Bring a lawn chair. Watch for the date on the city's Facebook page and on our events page.
Yard games, coolers and folding chairs — the park is the default gathering place from May through September.
The green space beside the Dodge Auditorium, used for suppers and celebrations that spill outdoors — including the Pig in the Park picnic marking the end of the city's water, sewer and paving project.
The park is open to residents. If you want to reserve the shelter for a gathering, or you need something set up, contact City Hall at (701) 846-7330 so it doesn't get double-booked. To rent an indoor space, see the Dodge Auditorium.
