Ordinances
City ordinances are the local rules Dodge sets for itself, from city government to police protection.
Reading the ordinances
The City of Dodge's ordinances are available for residents to review at City Hall during regular business hours. When the city puts ordinances out for public reading and review, the review period and the chapters under review are posted publicly. Recent public review notices have covered chapters including city government, ordinances, fire protection and prevention, and police protection.
Want to read or comment on an ordinance? Contact the City Auditor's Office at (701) 846-7330 or cityofdodge@ndsupernet.com and ask for the chapter you need. The city will tell you the current business hours for reviewing them in person.
Public review and comment
Public reading and review notices are posted by the city ahead of adoption, with the dates of the review window. Residents are invited to review the ordinances and offer comment during that period. Notices go up at City Hall and on the city's Facebook page.
